Dr Sahil Dosaj, Class of 2013, began his journey in optometry at WesternU. The experiential training and strong academic foundation he received there helped him grow into a confident and capable professional. Years later, his dedication to his patients earned him recognition from Newsweek as one of America’s Best Doctors, an achievement that reflects both his hard work and the quality of education he received.
“WesternU has made me who I am,” he says. "If it weren’t for it, I wouldn’t have got that award.”
Here, Dr Dosaj also had the chance to work alongside students from other medical fields. This setting gave him a better understanding of how different specialities connect and how teamwork plays a vital role in patient care.
“I believe that this helps us work together with other medical professionals to take care of patients, not only as individuals but also as a cohesive medical team,” he says.
