Growing up in Dubai, Krutika Ramwani first pursued a career in audit analytics — but eventually realised she wanted to strengthen her technical skills to pivot to AI consulting. That’s when she joined the Master of Business Analytics programme at UBC Sauder and encountered the opportunity of a lifetime.
“Within the first few months, I was fortunate to receive a full-time offer from Deloitte, as a Senior Consultant in their AI & Data team,” she says. “To complement my academic learning with hands-on experience, I requested an internship ahead of my start date, which Deloitte graciously accommodated.”
At Deloitte, Ramwani primarily worked with clients in the financial services sector, formulating AI strategies and integrating emerging technologies like Generative AI. It was the role she had long wanted – and one she knew wouldn’t have been possible without the UBC Sauder community.

“Supportive staff at the Business Career Centre played a huge role in my journey,” says Ramwani. “Even after graduating, I continue to feel connected and supported through events, mentorship opportunities, and alumni outreach. One of the most comforting aspects of being a UBC Sauder alum is knowing that I can reach out to a fellow graduate and receive genuine guidance simply because we share this common connection.”
Today, Ramwani is a Manager of Cloud, Data, and AI at PwC. “The UBC MBAN programme gave me the technical fluency to speak confidently about AI, data tools, and analytics strategy in client settings,” she says. “I still refer to the notes from Adjunct Professor Mark Chen’s marketing class and Professor Steven Shechter’s optimisation course when solving real-world business problems today.”
