Law Sing joined the BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering programme to prepare for a career within the industry. Today, as an MSc Building Services Engineering student, he can see how that foundation has supported both his academic and professional goals. “The course boasts world-class professors and a wealth of professional laboratory equipment, providing us with a high-quality learning experience,” he shares.
“This experience allowed me to step outside my comfort zone and broaden my horizons,” he shares.
Some of Sing’s most valuable lessons took place outside the classroom. During his third-year internship at Sanfield (Management) Limited, a subsidiary of Sun Hung Kai Properties, he got to apply technologies and standards he had learned in class, including BIM. In his fourth year, he went on an exchange programme to Singapore.
Those experiences continue to shape his journey today. After graduation, he joined a government-sponsored building services engineer training programme. His long-term goal is to become a registered building services engineer.
