Although Jaehwan Jeong had a fulfilling career in business consultancy back home in South Korea, he found himself increasingly drawn to the global and people-centred nature of the hospitality industry. «This curiosity, paired with my ambition to broaden my expertise, led me to explore education opportunities in hospitality management,» he says.

Said opportunity presented itself in the form of SHL Lucerne.

«The lecturers at SHL are truly remarkable. Their vast experience and genuine passion for hospitality create an inspiring and supportive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential,» he says. «They bring real-world expertise into the classroom, making every lesson not only informative but highly relevant to the industry.»

Having expert lecturers with vast experiences in the industry helps students build a global understanding of hospitality across the board. At SHL, global literacy is also shaped through the university’s diverse community.

«Interacting with peers from different cultural and professional backgrounds has broadened my perspective and allowed me to build meaningful connections» Jeong says.
