Aisse Matus is drawn to the dynamism of the hospitality industry. So much so that she would leave behind a career in business administration and move from Mexico to Europe to pursue a degree in this field. «The energy, the connection with the people, and the opportunity to create memorable experiences inspired me to pursue this career path,» she says.
To Matus, SHL was the obvious option due to its outstanding reputation – one that she can now see first-hand that it lives up to.
«SHL has not only deepened my knowledge of the hospitality industry but also helped me develop the discipline, adaptability, and professionalism needed to excel in a competitive field» she says.

Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management
Matus is now completing her first semester in F&B operations, but she’s already got her next steps mapped out. She’s set to begin her six-month F&B internship in February at the Art Deco Hotel Montana in Lucerne.
«The hotel’s high standards will give me the opportunity to gain insight into creating memorable dining moments for guests, ensuring seamless operations, and enhancing my attention to detail,» Matus says. «I am particularly excited about the chance to work in a setting that values innovation and excellence, which will help me refine my skills in guest communication, teamwork, and multitasking.»
