Szymon Gałecki

MSc in Computer Science

When researching master’s options, Szymon Gałecki looked for a programme where computer science was the sole focus and included project work and modern tools. “ITU definitely matched those expectations and, on top of that, left enough time for me to enjoy my life in Copenhagen,” he says.

Today, Gałecki has since secured a position at one of Denmark’s largest banks. Looking back, the Polish graduate describes his ITU education as such: “ITU offered a fantastic student experience that completely fulfilled and surpassed every expectation I had.”

When asked how ITU has prepared him for his next professional steps, Gałecki says, “I think it would be quite hard to graduate from a master's programme at ITU and feel unprepared for work.” Two amazing courses stood out to him – DevOps and Data Science in Production – and he cannot recommend them enough. They were highly challenging but translated immensely into work-relevant skills.
