Student JingXi Yap is always open to exploring new horizons — she sets no limit for herself. As such, she is curious about biomedicine, intrigued by the charm of reading, and harbours a love for theatre. Soon, she will be pursuing her passions at Northwestern University — from theatre to STEM and everything in between.
Indeed, with Concordia’s holistic education, students become highly sought-after applicants. Yap explored rigorous academics in the classroom and pursued theatre during extra-curricular activities.
With such a wholesome upbringing at Concordia, Yap is excited and more than ready to pursue college and beyond. “I have been at Concordia for a really long time, and so being able to go to a new place, identify myself the way I want to and start with a blank slate is really cool and really special,” says Yap.
“I’m also looking forward to meeting so many new people and exploring the world from a variety of different, novel lenses.”
“It was my grades as well as my wide array of extracurriculars that made me stand out. Theatre has truly been such a highlight of my high school experience and I’m not sure I would be who I am without it.”
