Pursuing Cybersecurity at WMU is an enriching experience. Designed with industry feedback, programmes explore current trends and advances in the cybersecurity realm. It’s an exciting chance to be a part of a growing industry that’s becoming ever-more important by the day — leading to seemingly countless opportunities in the process. “Security lies in this unique area where you have to understand the business side and the technical side. You can get away with being a manager of a division and have no idea how software is written, and you can be a software engineer who just codes all day, but with security, you absolutely have to understand how to translate between those two worlds,” says Jason Johnson, a faculty member in the Cybersecurity programme.

Interactive, real-world training is regularly interspersed throughout programmes to give students the skills they need to thrive in the workforce.
