These graduate programmes are about building a better future with big ideas and even bigger impact. It all starts by diving into courses like industrial wastewater treatment, solid waste management, and sustainable mine waste solutions, all designed to tackle real-world environmental challenges.
And they won’t be doing it alone. They’ll learn from top experts like Dr. Kelvin Ng, Canada Research Chair in Environmental Sustainability. He directs the Waste Management System Design Laboratory and received the FGSR Outstanding Graduate Supervision Award in 2025.
Dr. Gordon Huang, University Distinguished Professor and former CRC Tier I, directs the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities (IEESC) and has led more than 150 research projects while supervising over 100 graduate students. Meanwhile, Associate Professor, Dr. Jinkai Xue, brings attention to drinking water safety and public health through media outreach.
