MSc Planning

This programme, which is fully accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), was designed to offer learners comprehensive knowledge of the factors influencing the formulation and delivery of spatial planning policy across the built and natural environments. In just one year of full-time study, they will be able to begin or enhance a career as a chartered town planner in the public or private sector. Those who choose the part-time route will be able to complete it over two years.

Regardless, all students can expect to expand their skillsets through applied and experiential learning, including fieldwork, practicals, case studies, role play, debates and engagement with professional practitioners. They will also be prepped to take on the RTPI’s Assessment of Professional Competence.
