Those keen on exploring the specialist area of heart disease and diagnostics and its impacts on the human body should consider pursuing a BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology.
Students can expect to master the basic science underpinnings of modern disease diagnostics, evaluation and treatment by their first year. They will also complete clinical experiential learning in NHS clinics. Year two is where students progress to learn and master different methodologies in this field.
In the last two years, students spend a minimum of 40 weeks undertaking full-time clinical work in a cardiology department and completing a research project of their choice – a chance for students to immerse themselves in the practical learning experience.
