This programme aims to leverage the long-respected undergraduate programme in sustainable energy and designed graduates looking to upskill into the exciting area of Sustainable Energy. As long as you have a BSc-equivalent qualification and mathematics experience equivalent to a first-year course in calculus and linear algebra, you are welcome to join.

The MAppSc explores topics like Energy Practice, where you’ll carry out energy audits of commercial and industrial sites and make recommendations for reducing energy and greenhouse gas emissons. Other core subjects include:

  • Applied Engineering Thermodynamics
  • Advanced Project Management
  • Advanced Energy Resources

Towards the end of the programme, you’ll complete a Supervised Independent Study or a Workplace-based Project – both are rigorous projects requiring you to apply what you’ve learned to real-world situations.
