You have been working for some time and want to take your career to the next level, but any qualification will not cut it. You need something to launch you into a high-value profession or push you towards that next big career milestone. You want to be part of a university that will give you an intense and hands-on experience. If you share these aspirations, then the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics is the institution you are looking for.
A national leader in experience-based education, UNH Paul is home to a community of driven, results-minded graduate students. Its programmes are AACSB accredited, the hallmark of excellence in business education and a distinction earned by fewer than 6% of the world's business schools.
The setting? A campus in Durham, rated as one of the safest in the US, perfectly situated near the seacoast of the Northeast of the country and just one hour from the mountains and the vibrant city of Boston. It is also only a five-hour bus or train from New York City — the best place for high-value internships and jobs. Its location is such that students may enjoy both the outdoors and an active city life.
Other than its ideal location, accolades and accreditations, what makes this business school stand out from the rest is its world-class faculty. They have a wealth of work experience as active researchers and former executives. Their insight into real-world problems enriches classroom sessions with practical analytical tools and know-how.
UNH Paul offers rigorous master’s programmes that are STEM-designated. With a focus on mathematics and analytics, these programmes enable international students to apply for a 24-month OPT STEM Extension to the 12-month Optional Practical Training Programme (OPT) period. This gives them the opportunity to work in the US for up to 36 months after graduation with no additional visa requirement.

This programme will develop your ability to add value to any organisation through data analysis and visualisation, predicting or forecasting future probabilities and trends, and helping leaders make decisions in resource-constrained environments.
This MS is a full-time programme that can be completed in as little as 10 months and is taught by faculty who specialise in three disciplines: business statistics, operations research/management, and management information systems. These are all considered to be the building pillars of business analytics. It is also STEM-designated.

The STEM-designated MS in Economics is thought to be one of the most rigorous in the country. Students learn advanced economic theory, data warehousing, data management and visualisation, machine learning, econometrics and data modelling, and code in R, Python, and SQL all in one year. In this programme you may decide between the academia track, which emphasises economic theory and research skills, or the industry track, where you will apply economic reasoning, statistics and analytics to business problems. The latter culminates with an applied project.
This MS in Economics is ranked 33rd in 2023 by TFE Times. Capstone experiences students can look forward to include applied projects, summer internships, and research projects with faculty. Upon graduation, you would be perfectly positioned to help businesses analyse big data and harness machine prediction.

My long-term goal is to become a subject matter expert in supply chain, which is the backbone of the industry. I found BGSU's Logistics Systems Engineering program is a combination of engineering and management, which helps me to enhance my knowledge and skills. I joined BGSU in January 2022 and got the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant on an industrial project under the guidance of Dr. Sarder.
