Industrial Engineering and Management

The MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management prepares graduates to tackle complex technological and business challenges. You’ll learn to design sustainable consumer products, bring renewable energy technologies and processes to market, and optimize production costs without compromising quality and safety.

Most of the program focuses heavily on engineering and technology, especially the finding of solutions to industrial problems from a technical and scientific design perspective. At the same time, it’s complemented by courses in management, sustainability, entrepreneurship, and systems engineering; this combination sets you up for positions that demand both a technical and managerial background.

You can choose between two tracks: Production Technology and Logistics (PTL) and Sustainable Process Engineering (SPE). Five specializations are available within the tracks for those interested in building a niche: Advanced Production Engineering, Smart Systems in Control and Automation, Production Logistics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology.

“I wanted to bridge the gap between creating high-quality products and ensuring their affordability – my goal was to design innovative products while optimizing industrial processes. Choosing the Production Technology and Logistics track (PTL) with a focus on Advanced Product Engineering aligned with my goal of developing affordable medical devices for Indonesia. The program provided expertise in production optimization, logistics, and sustainability, and courses like Technology-Based Entrepreneurship and Sustainability for Engineers sharpened my problem-solving skills. The industry integration prepared me for my role as a production manager at PT Pelopor Teknologi Implantindo, where I oversee orthopaedic implant production and collaborate with surgeons.”
