The PhD in Biomedical Engineering is designed to give students the knowledge and tools they need to tackle modern-day challenges through academia and research. Through in-depth research and collaborations with experts in the field, students get the chance to contribute to advances in biomaterials, tissue engineering, stem cells and regenerative medicine, cell and gene therapy, and more.
Here, students participate in research projects across a variety of pressing issues within the biomedical field, including in: new biomaterials for medical devices that prevent infection and coagulation; novel stem cell therapies to combat cancer; and computational models to understand disease progression and pharmacological treatments.
