MSc (Clinical Research)

This master's degree provides a platform to apply medical discoveries in clinical practices. These discoveries can come from clinical trials, evidence-based medicine, and patient-centred research, where you will analyse, deduce, and conduct your research from your findings. Blending theoretical learning and practical experience, it's an apt choice for anyone who wishes to become an independent clinical investigator or seek leadership positions in clinical research teams.

"Before moving to Ireland, I had a few years of experience in regulatory affairs, focusing on pharmaceutical products and clinical research," says Viet Ha Vu. "I decided to join the MSc in Clinical Research to deepen my ethics-related knowledge and broaden my understanding of other aspects like study management." Today, Viet is a research assistant working in Ireland.

"Beyond these spotlighted programmes, the University of Galway offers a broad suite of options spanning preventive, clinical specialty , clinical trials and lab-based disciplines — uniquely designed to meet the diverse needs of future healthcare leaders."
