University of Delaware's Biden School graduates
At the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Delaware, you'll start making a difference from day one.
Through the Summer City Management Fellows Programme, you could spend 10 weeks in a placement with Delaware city and town managers, drafting policy documents, running fiscal research, and shaping strategic plans that municipalities utilise right away.
And by following a curriculum that takes after the “Delaware Model,” your coursework will include paid fellowships, internships, and research assistantships. Over two years, you'll gain practical experience in public governance while learning how to shape policy and drive meaningful change. The programme prepares you for careers in government and the nonprofit sector, where you can lead initiatives and make a lasting impact.
Online MPA
Designed for aspiring public service professionals, this online MPA provides you with the skills needed to lead organisations and solve complex challenges. The 30-month, 36-credit programme combines flexible online learning with practical knowledge in leadership, human resources, and financial management. Ranked No. 25 in US News & World Report’s 2025 Best Public Affairs Programmes, it prepares graduates for careers across government and nonprofit sectors.
Master of Energy and Environmental Policy
As sustainability continues to shape policy decisions worldwide, this programme prepares you to understand and address complex environmental challenges. It combines policy analysis with perspectives from science, engineering, and social science. You can choose between thesis and non-thesis pathways while developing the expertise needed for roles in policy and administration across multiple sectors.
Master of Public Health (MPH)
The Council on Education for Public Health-accredited MPH gives you a strong foundation in public health principles and their application to policy, built over two years of full-time study. Within the health policy and management programme, you can customise your path through electives spanning health inequities, health systems, programme evaluation, and more. From there, you'll graduate ready to shape policy in healthcare institutions, nonprofits, and government agencies at every level.
Master of Arts in Urban Analytics and Policy
This programme develops your skills in data science, analytics, analysis, and ethics while strengthening the critical thinking needed to examine social issues rigorously. You’ll learn to assess the effects of policy changes and present your findings clearly through policy analysis and data visualisation. The MPA at STEaPP helped me develop analytical skills in policy-making, project management and science and technology studies. This highly interdisciplinary programme allowed me to explore the nuances of digital technologies from different perspectives and disciplines. It ultimately prepared me to critically analyse the implications of various technologies in different Global South and Global North contexts.
The programme is also distinctly international, enabling me to develop networking skills among peers worldwide that further internationalise my career as a professional interested in public administration in its various forms. Ultimately, this programme strengthened my skills as a policy analyst and allowed me to expand the diversity of my research as a digital rights activist in Paraguay. It also paved the way for my career as a professional researcher, as I am currently enrolled in a PhD programme at UCL STEaPP.
