Working in healthcare demands clinical precision, leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and the kind of experiences that build trust and save lives. You'll develop all of this at the University of Chester's Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society. Whether you're considering pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) to shape policy or advancing your nursing qualifications through the BSc Nursing Studies to meet UK healthcare standards, you'll train in real-world settings from the start.
This preparation starts with the Chester Future Skills Curriculum, built with industry input, which keeps learning hands-on and mirrors what's happening in hospitals, public health and care settings. This approach helps you build expertise and real skills you'll use from day one.

The MPA at STEaPP helped me develop analytical skills in policy-making, project management and science and technology studies. This highly interdisciplinary programme allowed me to explore the nuances of digital technologies from different perspectives and disciplines. It ultimately prepared me to critically analyse the implications of various technologies in different Global South and Global North contexts.
The programme is also distinctly international, enabling me to develop networking skills among peers worldwide that further internationalise my career as a professional interested in public administration in its various forms. Ultimately, this programme strengthened my skills as a policy analyst and allowed me to expand the diversity of my research as a digital rights activist in Paraguay. It also paved the way for my career as a professional researcher, as I am currently enrolled in a PhD programme at UCL STEaPP.
