When Andreas Pantelis was searching for a master’s degree, he had several criteria. It had to focus on Analytical Chemistry, his passion, come from a top UK university, and hold recognition for being at the forefront of this field. There was only one programme that matched his needs: UCL’s MSc Applied Analytical Chemistry.
Pantelis would go on to discover other features that made the programme unique. For example, it was highly hands-on. There were more real-world applications rather than traditional exams. But despite the absence of exams, the programme was rigorous, allowing Pantelis to engage deeply with the material. He particularly valued the interdisciplinary nature of the course, which allowed him to apply techniques like NMR, LC-MS, and HPLC, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
Throughout his time at UCL, Pantelis developed essential problem-solving and independent study skills, which have significantly contributed to his professional and personal growth.
"I would say that studying at UCL Chemistry was one of the most beneficial investments of my educational career," he says.
