Jessica’s entire life has been shaped by the TIS community, so much so that it feels like a second home. Attending school alongside her brother makes the TIS experience all the more special. “We’ve been able to support each other through challenges and celebrate our successes together,” she says.

There are many ways in which TIS has pushed Jessica to grow. “Academically, the teachers here have always encouraged me to push myself and stay curious. They’ve helped me build confidence in learning and asking questions,” she says. “Personally, being a part of such a supportive community has taught me the importance of kindness, persistence, and being open to new experiences.”

As a tight-knit community, traditions are a big part of bringing everyone together. “Events like sports tournaments and service trips really show the love and passion in our school,” she says. “Not only do we spend time together in school, but it’s always a tradition to have team dinners and class dinners outside of school.”

Community is also what forms Jessica’s greatest memories at TIS. Since joining, Jessica has fallen in love with soccer, and later, basketball. The community often comes together at sports tournaments, and that’s where she truly gets to witness TIS’s infectious school spirit.

“Graduating from this school makes me have different emotions,” she says. “I’ll definitely miss the teachers and friendships, but at the same time, I’m excited to see what’s ahead. Even though I’ll be moving on, TIS will always be a big part of who I am.”
