The STEM-designated MS in Sustainable Design program was designed and developed by the US’s top sustainable designers and some of its most experienced academics. The aim? To produce sustainable leaders in design who will better serve society in tackling climate change.
The program teaches the fundamentals of problem-solving to develop market-driven solutions. It does this through exposing students early in the design process to experts, design options and real-world constraints. There are opportunities to take part in projects — which range from high-performing design strategies to initiatives for non-profits and start-ups — as well as networking events and hands-on practice. Thanks to the city’s thriving design scene, students can also intern, volunteer and secure job placements easily.
This award-winning, trans-disciplinary and collaborative design course provides flexible options to learners who wish to gain specialized knowledge. Options include earning certification in Sustainability Leadership, Design of Living Buildings, Resilient Communities or Green Building Operations. Design your own path by building your own degree or gain knowledge in all the above by opting for the full program.
