The Physics MSci and BSc programmes cover core topics including quantum science and technology and Einstein’s theory of Relativity. After learning about the foundations of modern physics and building on previous experiences, students can choose to pursue a broad range of optional modules from cosmology, nanoscience, medical physics and imaging, particle physics, and astrophysics from year two onwards.

Graduates of the programme have used the analytic and computational skills gained on the degree to find work as accomplished data scientists, actuaries, finance and investment analysts, and managing consultants, to name a few. Companies like BT Group, Capital One, BAE Systems and IBM are frequent employers of the school's graduates. Others have found success at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, Cambridge University Hospital, and Nottingham Building Society.
