Julian Burkhardt pursued an MBA because he wanted a specialisation in something he was interested in. Today, he believes the decision paid off: “The MBA programme was excellent and the banking certificate has been extremely helpful,” he explains. “And even though I’m not in banking, about half of my job involves finance. That background helps me every day.”
He points to the learning environment as a key part of his experience. Smaller classes made it easier to get the support he needed.
You really get to know the professors personally,” he says. “They’re invested in your success, and that makes a big difference in how much you learn.”
At the same time, the coursework emphasised real-world application. Projects were many and based on real-world examples. Even the theoretical content is grounded in current economic conditions. “If you want a strong MBA education so that when you start working, you’re prepared and know what to expect, I would recommend Tennessee Tech,” Burkhardt says.
