“I have joined quite a few clubs at TASIS — from art club and football to swimming. Art club is definitely my favorite. My friends and I always do it together to relax and unwind after a long day at school.”
These opportunities provide fresh perspectives every step of the way. “TASIS England has helped to expose me to many different cultures and people that I would have never had the opportunity to meet in Illinois,” Ellie says. “They even host international festivals. I’ve loved trying all of the different foods from different countries and getting henna tattoos.”
Memorable — this is the word Illinois-born Ellie uses to summarize the experiences TASIS England has provided her in just two years. Within her first month, the School organized an outdoor adventure trip to the Isle of Wight to help the Middle School pupils bond. “It gave me the chance to get to know the people I would be going on this journey with,” she says.
Once they returned, they embarked on an educational experience of a lifetime together. Some of Ellie’s favorite lessons entailed exploring how ancient civilizations evolved through time. Life outside the classroom was just as enriching.
