College of Law, Anthropology, and Politics

Ancient Roman architecture, Composite material, Column, Landmark, Molding

There’s no stopping the College of Law, Anthropology, and Politics from challenging many status quos in a wide range of societies today. They question hierarchical power, the politics and policies pushing inequality, nation-state governance processes, and harmful stereotypes. Leveraging the college’s expertise — across anthropology, gender studies, international relations, law, media, politics, and sociology — students and staff are shaping the world to become a better place, one programme at a time.

As the largest college at SOAS, the depth of research that takes place here is striking. Over 300 researchers from facilities like the Centre for Migration and Diaspora Studies and the Feminist Centre for Racial Justice collaborate with global partners, social movements, and activists focused on the Global South.
