Shanghai Community International School’s Secret to Successful Students
An accurate measure of the school’s success can be seen in its students. Many have an impressive IB DP results – the highest score being 45 out of 45. In fact, students here have achieved twice as many top ranked IBDP scores than the world average. Every SCIS graduate gets accepted to universities, and 40% are admitted to the top 50 universities worldwide. These include Imperial College London, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Melbourne. Stellar grades aside, they carry with them a lifetime of memories, the know-how to serve the world, enviable language skills, and a distinctly global worldview.
These achievements would not be possible without the tireless efforts of the school’s experienced teachers.
Founded in 1996, Shanghai Community International School is one of the first international schools in Shanghai. From just seven teachers and less than 50 students on one campus, the school has grown to be a learning haven that’s home to over 1,800 students and three campuses. Today, it’s an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum World School, providing a seamless programme for students aged 2-18, and comprised of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).
