Where young men find their true potential

Located adjacent to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Saint Stanislaus was built for young men to flourish academically, socially, and personally. Founded in 1854 by the Brothers of the Sacred Heart, it is a Catholic all-boys boarding and day school for grades 7 through 12 known for pairing timeless values with dynamic opportunities that few institutions can match.

Imagine a classroom extending beyond four walls: Marine Science interns present at professional conferences, shoulder-to-shoulder with leading coastal scientists, and STEM enthusiasts dive into Gulf ecosystems aboard research vessels. Picture aspiring legislators debating their bills in the historic chambers of Mississippi's Capitol or students dedicating a day to community service projects, living the values they learn.

This is education without limits — rooted in faith, fuelled by curiosity, and lived through action.

“Saint Stanislaus offers so many ways to grow, both academically and personally. Between challenging classes, sports, and all the activities, there’s always something new to learn and ways to push yourself.”

Michael Walton, Class of 2027

My long-term goal is to become a subject matter expert in supply chain, which is the backbone of the industry. I found BGSU's Logistics Systems Engineering program is a combination of engineering and management, which helps me to enhance my knowledge and skills. I joined BGSU in January 2022 and got the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant on an industrial project under the guidance of Dr. Sarder.

A Saint Stanislaus education

The journey starts in junior high, where faculty focus on strategies that resonate with young men. Seventh and eighth graders benefit from small class sizes, individualised attention, and specialised guidance from counsellors who ensure each student adjusts smoothly to the school’s demands.

Courses in Study Skills and Computer Technology help them develop critical tools for academic success, while advanced opportunities such as Pre-Algebra and Algebra I prepare them for more challenging coursework ahead. For resident students, additional resources like daily study halls and tailored study plans create a structured, supportive environment, making academic success attainable for all.

As students transition to high school, the academic programme evolves to meet diverse interests and goals. The curriculum includes core subjects like English, mathematics, science, foreign languages, and social studies, alongside electives such as business, art, band, life skills, and technology. Advanced learners can take Honours courses as early as eighth grade and Advanced Placement (AP) in sophomore year (10th grade), with the potential to earn college credit.

Faculty and counsellors work closely with older students to guide their academic journey, encouraging them to explore passions, set goals, and achieve new heights. By graduation, over 96% of Saint Stanislaus students matriculate to college, equipped with the ability to learn effectively and the confidence to succeed.

Inspiring passion, creativity, and character beyond classrooms

A Saint Stanislaus education transcends traditional classrooms to allow learners to explore their unique interests and talents.

Programmes here are designed to foster growth, teamwork, and personal character. From the middle school to high school levels, students can choose from various sports — the intensity of football, the precision of track and field, or the teamwork required in basketball and soccer. Regardless, they learn life lessons that go beyond the playing field. Many Saint Stanislaus athletes even go on to compete at the collegiate level.
The school’s Introduction to Aviation course offers 11th and 12th graders the chance to explore the skies and gain real-world certifications, including the private pilot written exam and FAA Part 107 commercial drone license. Using the AOPA curriculum and state-of-the-art X-Plane 12 simulators, they practice real-life flight scenarios with cutting-edge navigation systems.
Academic clubs, like the Key Club and Quiz Bowl, allow students to engage in meaningful service projects while testing their knowledge in friendly, competitive environments. The SCUBA Club, open to 11th and 12th graders in the Marine Science programme, fosters environmental stewardship, confidence, and teamwork. Diving at locations like Florida’s Vortex Springs and Gulf of Mexico sites, participants earn internationally recognised PADI certifications, further unlocking underwater adventures and careers in marine biology, conservation, and beyond. Meanwhile, the Mu Alpha Theta honour society brings students into a world where numbers come alive, and MathCounts offers younger students the chance to develop their problem-solving skills in regional competitions.
The music programme – which spans the pep band, the jazz ensemble, and more – is a great way for students to practise and perform in group and solo settings. Throughout the year, they take centre stage at school events, parades, and music festivals as part of the school band or choir. Drama students work alongside their peers from Our Lady Academy to produce musicals, dramatic plays, and more. Budding Vincent van Goghs and Ai Weiweis can take courses in painting, drawing, ceramics, and more. To showcase their creations to the wider community and gain recognition for their artistic achievements, they can display their work at the annual art show.

At Saint Stanislaus, boarding is less about living away from home and more about embracing a journey of growth, independence, and lifelong connection. In Aurelian Hall, they are supported by dedicated staff and peers in an environment that values respect, responsibility, and character. With guidance and encouragement, they learn to balance academics, athletics, and friendships efficiently — a skill that will serve them well in university and throughout life. Prefects and dormitory staff further foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and self-discipline while ensuring the dorm remains a safe and welcoming space free from less savoury influences.

The benefits of 24/7 immersion

Since academics play a vital role in the Saint Stanislaus experience, dedicated study periods are built into the weekly schedule. Personalised tutoring and extra study sessions are available for those who need them, while milestones and achievements are celebrated as often as possible.
