“Being in Rhodes has exposed me to the world beyond what I’ve always known. At Rhodes University, I have met people from different parts of the world, across Africa and even as far as Ukraine. The diversity in the student body is worth watching. I do enjoy the camaraderie across campus, the events, the access we have to our professors, and how helpful they are.
The academic standard is so high, and I love how challenging it is; the environment and everyone in it are set up to help you through your whole time here. Everyone is nice and willing to help you with anything you need.
It is also a very welcoming environment where everyone from everywhere is allowed to thrive. A good example of this is my victory at the recent SRC elections as the new International Affairs Councillor for 2027; the students voted for me regardless of my country of origin. The atmosphere is very conducive and that is why I hope to continue to foster the relationship between international and local students, communicate more opportunities with the student body, and organise more events to keep various cultures alive across campus.”
