NUA’s Games Art and Design students learn to design and create characters, props, environments and vehicles using 2D and 3D content creation software for a range of platforms; including console, web, mobile, computer, augmented and virtual reality. Once they have mastered the essentials, they go on to specialise in one of three areas: concept art, asset production or indie development. At the same time, they develop the analytical skills needed to critique and rationalise successful game design.
The rigour is intentional. How else would students be able to follow in the footsteps of an illustrious group of alumni who have gone on to work on major titles, from “Forza Horizon 4” and “Red Dead Redemption 2” to “Batman: Arkham Asylum and Sea of Thieves”?
