In the 21st century, threats of all kinds are challenging communities, companies, and countries. These include terrorism, cyberattacks, natural disasters, migration, bioterrorism, climate change, and pandemics. There is an urgent need for professionals trained to help organizations prepare for and work through disruptive events.

Northeastern's MS in Security and Resilience Studies program is for students and professionals that want to help public and private organizations better prepare for, withstand, recover from, and adapt to the emerging threats of this millennium. This first-of-its-kind experience-based program combines traditional security studies with a focus on integrating resilience into systems and societies.

You will engage in industry-based projects embedded in coursework and a capstone project; there’s also the option of completing a co-op. Upon degree completion, you will be prepared to succeed in careers leading multi-agency, multi-community collaboration, planning, and implementation efforts for private companies, non-profits, and government organizations.
