Your industry is changing faster than most business schools can keep up – and this is why McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management stands out. For over a century, Desautels has always evolved to stay ahead — earning EQUIS accreditation and joining the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), a global network of leading graduate business schools. That kind of recognition happens because Desautels never stops moving.
It starts with how Desautels teaches. The faculty runs on an integrated management philosophy, meaning your education doesn't live in silos. Business is interconnected, and your curriculum reflects that. The goal is to shape world-wise, responsible leaders who are ready for whatever their industry throws, or will throw, at them.
It’s this reputation that attracts prominent professors and the finest students from across the globe. They all land in the same place: a downtown Montreal campus, sitting at the heart of Canada's best student city and one of the top 20 student cities in the world (QS Best Student Cities 2026).

IBM and Columbia University are partnering to make data centres more energy-efficient, as these facilities consume around 2% of U.S. energy supplies according to the Department of Energy. They are modelling AI's energy use, designing low-power chips, reducing software inefficiencies, and optimising system operations to address this issue.

V. Faye McNeill, professor of chemical engineering, is working with partners across the Global South to expand air quality monitoring in India, generate new air pollution data in Africa, and build local capacity in air quality science. The team’s success has led to informed policy decisions and improved air management across various regions.

A campus designed for impact
My long-term goal is to become a subject matter expert in supply chain, which is the backbone of the industry. I found BGSU's Logistics Systems Engineering program is a combination of engineering and management, which helps me to enhance my knowledge and skills. I joined BGSU in January 2022 and got the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant on an industrial project under the guidance of Dr. Sarder.

Real experience,
real impact
Here, your learning goes far beyond the classroom. Every programme is designed to sharpen your critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving through real-world experience.
What that looks like depends on your programme. MBA students can travel to global business hubs to engage directly with senior executives and understand the realities of global expansion. Those looking to go deeper can spend a semester abroad through the exchange programme, earning academic credit while immersing themselves in a new cultural and commercial context. Back home, internships bridge classroom learning and real-world practice — and 100% of Full-Time MBA students seeking employment secured one.
Meanwhile, MMA students work alongside industry professionals through the EXP Analytics Consulting module to solve a high-impact challenge that improves a client’s revenue or profitability. MMF students manage live portfolios through Desautels Capital Management, Canada’s first university-owned, student-run, licensed and regulated investment firm with assets totalling 10 million Canadian dollars. Through the Bensadoun School of Retail Management’s Retail GenAI Hackathon and Retail Innovation Challenge, MMR students solve real-life retail problems using AI and other advanced technologies as well as operational insights and creativity.
