Since beginning his journey at MSU two years ago, Tanisvaran Sethu, a bachelor’s student in International Business, has embraced the strong integration of SDGs into both his coursework and campus life.

But Sethu isn’t waiting for graduation day to come — he’s already giving back. One standout experience for him was MSU’s flagship Ihya Ramadhan programme, which is dedicated to supporting local families and students in need during Ramadan.

As the President of the MSU Environmental Club, Sethu has led various initiatives that have significantly impacted the campus community. The annual Mangrove Planting event runs under his leadership. He’s also led beach cleanups, environmental film screenings, and panel discussions on sustainability issues.

“Even our business cases often involve solving social and environmental challenges,” he says. “This exposure has helped me understand the importance of sustainability and has inspired me to pursue a career aligned with the SDGs.”
