The Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering programs at LU aims to solve problems related to the production of fuels and chemicals. With four major refineries in the immediate area, our students find employment chiefly within the petrochemical market. From carbon capture to pharmaceuticals and process optimization, our faculty solve some of the toughest challenges within the chemical process industry.

The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. At the graduate level, you may pursue the Master of Engineering (non-thesis), Master of Engineering Science (thesis), or the Doctor of Philosophy degrees. You will have the opportunity to conduct experimental or computational research, present at national and international conferences, and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
