Master of Science in Software Engineering

Location
On-site, online or hybrid

Program Type
Master of Science

This program prepares students for rewarding careers in the field of software engineering by granting early exposure to real-time strategies and effective procedures. The BLS predicts that software professionals take home a median annual salary of US$110,140. Furthermore, employment is projected to grow in this field 22% from 2019 to 2029.

This program within CCSE is adamant on meeting this demand by building up professionals who can solve problems in the development of mission-critical software. Two routes facilitate this growth. The project option comprises four elective courses and a capstone project. Meanwhile, the thesis option comprises three elective courses, and of course, a thesis.

For students without an undergraduate background in computing, the college offers foundational courses that will get them up to speed with required skills and training. They can expect to be assigned a maximum of five foundational courses — depending on their existing knowledge before moving on to start their degree courses.
