Meet the demand for computer science experts in Georgia and beyond with Kennesaw State’s Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) degree. Core courses cover the theory of computation and advanced algorithms. It blends the use of advanced coursework in various topics and practical knowledge with state-of-the-art computing technologies.
Thanks to advanced concentrations, graduates are set to stand out in the industries of artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and human-computer interaction. This programme supports internship work — with credit towards the degree — at Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and start-up companies.
Two program models are offered: the Thesis Model and the Professional Model. The first model is designed for students who plan to conduct computer science research under the supervision of faculty members in selected areas. The second model is ideal for those who want to advance and apply their knowledge in industrial type settings.
For students without an undergraduate background in computing, the college offers foundational courses that will get them up to speed with required skills and training. They can expect to be assigned a maximum of four foundational courses — depending on their existing knowledge before moving on to start their degree courses.
