Doctoral Degree in Analytics and Data Science

The main goal of this degree is to equip candidates with the toolkits to translate and facilitate innovative research in the disciplines of data mining, statistical modeling, programming, and mathematical foundations. While technical skills are crucial, soft skills are just as important. Students can expect to strengthen their communication skills — both written and oral — while interpreting their crucial findings.

While students are encouraged to engage in research once they begin the program, the last two years is when they really immerse themselves in lab work. To become independent, leading researchers, they work with research faculties and an advisor in one of the college’s data science labs. Fully-funded research apprenticeships are also available with companies in fintech, healthcare, logistics, and more.

Graduates are set up for various career opportunities. They can join the private or public sector as a practising data scientist or forge a career within academia to teach their skills to upcoming generations.
