Careers that begin at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business tend to reveal themselves later — in companies built, industries reshaped, and decisions made under pressure. Its alumni include Mark Cuban, who parlayed a Kelley undergraduate education into one of the most visible entrepreneurial careers of his generation; John Chambers, who returned to Kelley for his MBA before leading Cisco through years of global expansion; and Janet Foutty, whose rise to the top of Deloitte Consulting reflects Kelley’s strength in analytical, strategic leadership.

What links these careers is a way of thinking shaped on campus. Kelley has long favoured applied learning over abstraction, collaboration over competition, and rigour that serves real decisions. That philosophy now extends to Kelley’s on-campus master’s programmes.

Designed for those who arrive with focus — and little appetite for detours — these specialised degrees offer depth and intensity. They distil the school’s strengths into immersive, career-oriented pathways that deliver the same seriousness of preparation found in Kelley’s undergraduate and MBA programmes, calibrated for a faster, more targeted moment in your professional life.

Our Programmes

If you want to transition into a business career without spending years in an MBA, the MS in Management is the path for you. This full-time, on-campus programme is designed for early-career professionals who want a clear, structured entry into business roles. For those without a business academic background, Kelley offers the Business Foundations Course before the programme starts to ensure students are set up for success.

It’s completed in one academic year (30 credit hours) and covers core business areas including finance, marketing, operations, strategy, and leadership. Classes are delivered in-person, with a strong emphasis on case-based learning and applied problem-solving.

Expect to work in cohorts, developing practical skills employers expect from entry-level and early-career business professionals. In fact, career preparation is integrated throughout. You’ll receive dedicated career coaching, access to on-campus recruiting, and many opportunities to connect with employers through Kelley’s growing network.

If you see yourself working in public accounting, audit, advisory, or corporate accounting, the MS in Accounting with Data and Analytics was built for you. This full-time, STEM-designated degree requires a minimum of 30 credit hours and can be completed in one academic year. Coursework covers advanced financial accounting and taxation alongside predictive analytics, data mining, and enterprise data management, reflecting how accounting functions operate in modern organisations. You’ll also complete applied projects that mirror real business and consulting scenarios.

For further career prep, the programme meets the educational requirements to apply for the CPA exam in Indiana, with academic advising available to support licensure planning across different US jurisdictions. Once you enter the programme, you’ll benefit from direct access to on-campus recruiting. Such initiatives explain why 100% of MSADA graduates land job offers within three months of graduating.

MS in Accounting with Data and Analytics

This programme prepares you for roles in consulting, data analytics, cybersecurity, and digital transformation — fields where technical fluency and business judgment are equally critical. Coursework combines systems analysis, enterprise data management, risk and security, and applied analytics. Specialised tracks cover Data Analytics and AI, Cybersecurity, Digital Transformation with AI, and Information Systems Research.

Regardless of the degree you design, it’s a full-time pathway, requiring 30 credit hours and is typically completed in two to three semesters. While accelerated, the experience is immersive. You’ll work in teams on real business problems and engage directly with faculty. Kelley’s structured recruiting ecosystem offers even more benefits, including employer presentations, technical interview preparation, and direct access to hiring partners. It’s little wonder that around 90% of MSIS graduates receive job offers. Graduates even report a median base salary exceeding US$82,000.

MS in Information Systems

Picture yourself analysing markets, advising companies, or shaping capital decisions inside major firms? The STEM-designated MS in Finance is built with these ends in mind — and the outcomes back it up. Graduates from the programme’s recent cohorts reported a mean base salary of US$92,769, with an average signing bonus close to US$9,000.

Nothing less is expected from a deliberately intensive, one-year full-time programme. Move quickly through core finance disciplines — including valuation, capital markets, and financial modelling — before customising your studies through electives aligned with careers in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, fintech, and analytics. For those without a business background, Kelley offers the Business Foundations Boot Camp to ensure the entire class advances at pace.

Scale is part of the design. With a cohort of roughly 55 students, the programme prioritises depth over volume, giving you direct access to faculty and tighter integration into Kelley’s recruiting ecosystem.
