Caterina first came to HKBU as an exchange student. The short trip was enough to make her want to come back again to pursue a master’s degree here. “I’m definitely happy to be back,” she says.
Caterina chose the Master of Science (MSc) in Business Management (MScBM) for its ability to provide learners with a comprehensive overview of the business world. Through the core course ’Managing People and Organization’, she has already gained a better understanding of research, project development and how thinking outside the box improves chances of success. Recently, she took her first Marketing course ’ Managing Marketing’ too, a “hidden gem” she never knew could intrigue her as much as it has.
These new concepts paired well with the law principles Caterina learned as an undergraduate. Finally, she could merge everything she knew about the laws companies must comply to with her newfound knowledge of what goes into running a business. Now, she’s using her prowess in several ways thanks to the HKBU School of Business’ emphasis on experiential learning.
“I am currently working on my Capstone Project and I have also taken part in several programmes offered by the HKBU School of Business,” she explains. “I must pay special consideration to the Mentor-Mentee programme the school offers. It is a great programme that puts international students in touch with the alumni.”
