Emma stays engaged outside the classroom as well. When she’s not rehearsing with the school orchestra, she’s building bonds with her friends or staying on top of her homework at the library. Looking ahead, Emma remains undecided about her field of study. However, she aspires to attend the University of Manchester, the University of Hong Kong, or the University of Edinburgh.
During Emma’s first week on campus, locating classes and keeping up with her timetable felt challenging. With supportive friends, Emma quickly overcame these hurdles and immersed herself in her studies. Today, her favourite classes include physics, Mandarin, and geography.
“Physics allowed me to understand the science behind things that happen around me daily. Mandarin gave me the opportunity to speak and practice my Chinese skills and helped me communicate with people in China. Geography is not only about the world map and where countries are; it’s about how social impact can affect our lives, the environment and the economy,” she explains.
