Agatha

Such support made it easy for Agatha to discover her love for physical education, physics, history and drama. These lessons helped her understand sports science, how basic necessities are invented, enthralling events of the past, and the beauty of sometimes pretending to be someone else. After classes end, she plays netball, basketball, volleyball, and the drums. Once she graduates, she hopes to study physiotherapy, education, or law at an esteemed institution close to home, like the National University of Singapore.

Agatha’s family began looking for a new school for her when the one she was attending was about to relocate. Furthermore, they felt she was ready to be challenged by a classic British curriculum. A natural extrovert, Agatha had no trouble making friends as a new student, however; it was the new style of learning that took some getting used to.

Aware of this, Ms. MacSweeney worked with Agatha to overcome this. “She makes things easy for me to understand with good explanations,” says Agatha. “She makes sure that you know the things 100% and gives up her time during lunch times to give us extra teaching with the topics that we aren’t sure about before exams.”
