Cybersecurity

The new digital era is filled with ever-evolving, insidious threats, signalling potentially costly consequences for people, organisations, institutions and governments alike. The Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity prepares students for leadership roles preventing data breaches, cyberattacks and other online threats.

The programme is made up of two industry preparation core courses, three technical core courses, five cybersecurity elective courses and elective tracks (Technology or Technology Management). An internship is required. This is a great way for you to gain industry experience and exposure to cybersecurity operations in an organisation.

“I was particularly interested in the courses on cloud security, machine learning malware defences, and ICS/OT security,” says Omar Al Mulhem, a graduate. “These areas were critical to my work in securing the infrastructure of one of the largest oil producers in the world. The unique courses offered by Duke aligned perfectly with my professional needs and interests.”
