“I have been lucky in terms of being supported as an international student at CSU. Even before I arrived, I had all my questions and concerns addressed. I was also assigned a cultural mentor who helped me until I was ready to settle into my college life.

There are many clubs and organisations on campus that help and allow international students to connect. The Office of International Programmes has been a great support and a one-stop solution to most of my problems. I have also been a student employee there, and it has increased my networking tremendously.

As a student employee for ISSS, I have partnered with Council of International Student Affairs and participated in the World Unity Fair twice, along with many other smaller-scale events. I have been a part of the Student Council of the Vice President of Student Affairs representing the International Population and that has given me great networking opportunities and leadership experience. This year, I became a part of the Board of Student Organisational Funding and directly worked with the Student Government. These experiences have allowed me to network and represent the international population here at CSU, while also bringing a new perspective to these clubs, organisations, and councils.”
