This programme builds your advanced AI knowledge and practical skills to help you progress in your career. It focuses on the most advanced nature-based AI technology, known as Deep Learning, based on neural networks and its applications. Alongside technical training, the curriculum covers important topics like bias, ethics, accountability, and trust in Explainable AI. The setting for this MSc includes the world-class City AI Lab; equipped with powerful computers, an HPC GPU node, and the latest tools for innovation. A good way to prepare for internships across the UK, such as those made through the university’s partnership with Digital Catapult.

MSc Artificial Intelligence

In this programme, you’ll explore data, strengthen your technical foundation, and stay connected to industry trends. You’ll join workshops and seminars with industry partners, gaining hands-on experience that links theory with real-world practice. During the summer term, you can take a free Cloud Computing course with AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner training. By the end of the programme, you’ll be confident in data acquisition, analysis, and knowledge extraction, ready to apply these skills across industries.

MSc Data Science

In one of the longest-established HCI programmes in the UK, you’ll learn to see technology from a user’s perspective and design digital experiences that truly connect with people. You’ll explore how users think, feel, and interact, then apply those insights to create engaging and effective designs. Expect plenty of interaction with industry. There are regular seminars with UX professionals, portfolio review sessions, thriving alumni network, annual Open Day events, and industry partnerships during course work (e.g. with the Royal Opera House and the Spitalfields City Farm). In one year, you will be set to join the hundreds of successful graduates since 2004 who have used this programme to launch their UX career.

MSc Human-Computer Interaction Design
