Transform your career with an MBA

Standing out in today’s job market takes confidence, real-world experience, and the confidence to use your skills to create change. An MBA at Brock University’s Goodman School of Business in Canada can give you all three.

“At Goodman, being professional, pursuing your passion, persevering through challenges, and developing a broader perspective are habits we help students build," says Barry Wright, Dean, Goodman School of Business. "We know that success looks different for everyone. Developing these core values helps students as they chart their own path, giving them the foundation to step confidently into whatever version of success they’re working toward.”

Studying at Goodman is characterized by small class sizes and interactive lectures with scholars who are experts in their field. From providing the option to select an MBA concentration to offering double degree opportunities, this is a place where students can customize a path that matches their goals. Goodman also creates purposeful engagement opportunities for students to expand their skills and network outside of the classroom.

Customize your MBA to meet your career goals

At Goodman, you can choose from six MBA specializations to focus your knowledge in one area and stand out in your career. If you prefer a broader approach, you can also pursue a general MBA without specializing.

Careers start here

At the Goodman School of Business, you gain the experience and knowledge that give you a real advantage in your career. You will find opportunities to build skills and experiences that help you stand out, starting with hands-on learning that puts your knowledge into action.

Goodman’s experiential education takes what you study in lectures, simulations, and case studies and lets you apply it to real business challenges. Working in small teams, you tackle problems for small businesses, not-for-profits, and community partners. These experiences help you develop skills, clarify your values, and see the real impact of your work in local and global communities.

Building on that, co-op placements give you paid, real-world experience while you study. Most placements last four months, but you can extend them to eight or 12 months. You don’t need to apply separately, as you are automatically considered for co-op. These opportunities allow you to explore various careers, acquire practical skills, and establish professional connections that make a meaningful difference.

To support all of this, Goodman gives you free access to a dedicated career team. They help you understand your strengths, connect your experiences to potential jobs, and map out your career goals. You can get help with resumes, interviews, networking events, and one-on-one support. Your access to their services continues for a year after graduation, helping you step confidently into your professional life.

I became President of the Goodman Graduate Business Council, served as an International Ambassador and even developed a start-up business through the Brock LINC Navigate program. These experiences helped me grow more than any textbook."

The program pushed me to work with real companies, solve real problems, and develop the confidence to step into data-driven financial roles. Goodman had a very welcoming and supportive environment. Coming to Canada was a big step, but the experience made it easier — the program was diverse, collaborative, and focused on real-world application.”
