This programme explores the ins and outs of shaping narratives and evoking emotions through visual storytelling. At the same time, it encourages learners to develop professional skills such as creative problem-solving, project management, and working to briefs and deadlines. Emphasis is placed on fostering imagination, conceptual thinking, and technical proficiency while staying abreast of contemporary trends. The programme also encourages students to nurture their own personal visual language and identity while honing their drawing skills and exploring traditional and forward-looking image-making techniques.

AUP’s dedicated Illustration team provides expert mentoring across various specialisms, including independent publishing, children's books, printmaking, and art direction. They also encourage opportunities for work placements, competitions and live briefs, ensuring learners step into the workforce immediately ready to add value.
